- Own a $35m+ transformation portfolio spanning core systems replacement and an ambitious AI and automation agenda.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of 35+ staff across digital delivery, PMO, business improvement (CI), and enterprise systems.
- Be a true executive partner to the MD, operating with shared accountability and bridging commercial strategy with our regional and global IT ecosystem.
This is not a business-as-usual IT role. It’s a newly created executive position established to lead the strategic evolution of Nissan Financial Services Australia and New Zealand as we move decisively from legacy complexity to a lean, automated, and scalable future.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders and hold joint accountability for business performance. You’ll lead the delivery of our core systems replacement and deploy AI-enabled solutions to materially improve efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve—supported by the autonomy to shape the function and the backing of a global brand investing heavily in its future.
This role suits a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside the business - setting direction, getting into the detail when needed, and turning strategy into practical, measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Own and deliver the roadmap: Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to execute a multi-year digital and transformation agenda, ensuring the $35m investment delivers measurable commercial value.
- Lead major transformation: Deliver core system replacements and AI driven initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce cost-to-serve, and enhance customer outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement: Lead the Business Improvement & CI function to simplify processes, remove friction, and replace manual effort with digital solutions.
- Create delivery discipline: Establish fit-for-purpose PMO and governance that drives pace, transparency, and momentum—without bureaucracy.
- Bridge business and technology: Act as the primary commercial interface with Regional IT, global partners, and vendors, aligning ANZ needs with global frameworks.
- Build high-performing teams: Lead, coach, and empower a diverse team of 35+ professionals, staying close to delivery to unblock issues and drive outcomes.
- Track Record: Delivered major core system or enterprise transformations (ERP, LOS, core banking) in regulated environments with clear commercial outcomes.
- Commercial Mindset: You treat technology as a value lever—translating architecture, vendors, and investment decisions into cost, margin, risk, and customer impact.
- Ownership: You operate with a genuine P&L mindset, accountable for value realisation, not just delivery milestones.
- Grip: Hands-on and outcome-driven, you stay close to the detail to challenge assumptions, unblock issues, and maintain momentum.
- Scale: Experienced leading large, multi-disciplinary teams (35+) and material budgets with commercial discipline.
- Discipline: You create fit-for-purpose governance that accelerates decisions and avoids bureaucracy.
- Improvement Lens: You simplify end-to-end processes and deploy digital and AI solutions to reduce cost-to-serve.
- Credibility: A calm, pragmatic executive partner with the presence to influence internally and with external vendors.
- Foundation: Undergraduate tertiary qualifications in business, technology, or a related discipline, with further executive, leadership, or professional development.
- Real influence: A senior leadership role with genuine scale, accountability, and the mandate to make changes that matter.
- Executive partnership: A supportive Executive Team that values partnership over hierarchy and works collaboratively to deliver outcomes.
- Culture that delivers: Down-to-earth, high-trust, and outcomes-focused, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
- Career progression: A natural next step for a leader looking to broaden their enterprise impact while staying close to delivery.
- Reward and benefits: Competitive remuneration, fully maintained vehicle, and generous vehicle discounts.
- Flexibility and support: Hybrid working arrangements and generous parental leave benefits.
- The leadership style: We value leaders who bring energy, perspective, and professionalism, especially when things don’t go perfectly.
