Tableau Data Engineer


We are looking for a Tableau Data Engineer to join our Inetum Team and be part of a work culture focused on innovation!


Location: Porto


Main Tasks:

  • Design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure supporting Tableau-based analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, transforming it into usable formats and creating efficient data models for analysis.
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and consistency.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
  • Support the Project Manager on all Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop related topics.
  • Coordinate with design and production teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to development teams using Tableau solutions.
  • Configure Tableau solutions in non-production environments and manage deployments.
  • Perform regular Tableau Server upgrades and ensure platform stability.
  • Support business teams in the usage of Tableau solutions and promote best practices.
  • Develop new Tableau reports as required, including dashboards for platform monitoring.


Profile:

  • Professional experience as a Data Engineer (3–5 years) is mandatory.
  • Strong experience with ETL processes (Extract, Transform, Load).
  • Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Python is mandatory.
  • Strong expertise in Tableau Server architecture is mandatory.
  • Previous experience in the banking sector is a plus.
  • Knowledge of credit risk is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAS, Power BI, Dataiku, Apache NiFi, and Jira is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and manage priorities.
  • Client-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify and present complex information clearly to different stakeholders.
  • Proactive and comfortable working in fast-paced, demanding environments.
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively within a team.


Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English (C1) is mandatory.
  • French is a plus.
