Job Description
- Work in a small cross-functional team with high focus on quality and continuous improvements.
- Together with colleagues, develop and enhance the functionality in the car to give the end user a great experience. Design and develop touch-based user interfaces to control various parts of the vehicle.
- Development is done in a full-stack environment using Java/Kotlin, Python, and the Android tool set.
- The latest tools and technologies are used, collaborating with partners and other teams to deliver state-of-the-art software. Automated testing is central to the project, so good knowledge of software testing, test-driven development, and tools commonly used in Android development is required.
- The team is also involved in testing and troubleshooting in real vehicles, providing interesting real-life insight into products.
- A curious, problem-solving person with a true team player mindset who works effectively with others to achieve results is sought. Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks at the same time are important. The candidate should be driven, quality-conscious, and inspired by technical challenges.
- A M.Sc. or B.Sc. within Electronics, Software Engineering, or a similar field is required, along with several years’ experience in Android app development and good knowledge of Android Java, Kotlin, and Android Studio.
- Experience in AOSP and the AOSP build system is required, along with familiarity with modern app architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, layered architecture, refactoring).
- Good knowledge of Android testing frameworks (JUnit, Espresso, Mockito) and experience in Continuous Integration are required. Good English skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
- Preferably, the candidate has a valid driver’s license, B-level.
