🎨 2D Game Artist (Mobile | Full-Time / Contract | Remote)
Location: Remote (We accept application from all countries)
We are looking for a solid, production-ready 2D Game Artist to join our small, fast-moving team working on a 2D mobile game.
This role is ideal for a generalist who can handle UI + characters + environments, iterate quickly, and design with mobile performance and monetization in mind.
This is not a concept-only or illustration role — we need someone who understands game-ready assets and real production workflows.
🎯 Responsibilities
- Create game-ready 2D assets for mobile (Unity):
- Characters, props, environments
- UI elements (buttons, panels, icons, popups, shop screens)
- Design and maintain visual style consistency across the entire game
- Produce basic animations (idle, actions, simple transitions)
- Work closely with the Game Designer and Unity Developer
- Iterate quickly based on gameplay, UX, and data feedback
- Optimize assets for mobile performance (size, clarity, reuse)
- Prepare and export assets correctly (sprite sheets, atlases, layers)
🛠 Requirements
- 2+ years experience as a 2D Game Artist (mobile preferred)
- Game UI
- Characters and environments
- Game-ready assets (not just illustrations)
- Experience creating UI for mobile games
- Sprite-based workflows
- Resolution scaling & readability on phones
- Asset reuse and modular design
- Ability to do basic 2D animation
- Frame-by-frame or Spine / DragonBones
- Comfortable working fast and iterating often
- Able to follow an art direction and adjust based on feedback
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience with Unity (even basic familiarity)
- Experience with Spine / DragonBones
- Simple 2D VFX / particles
- Experience creating marketing creatives
- App store screenshots
- Ad creatives / banners
- Experience with Casual / hypercasual / idle mobile games
