Role Overview
The PMO Lead / Specialist serves as a critical bridge between organizational strategy and project execution. This role ensures that all projects and programs are aligned with the companys strategic objectives and are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The role requires strong engagement with executive leadership, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to drive execution excellence and measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Executive Responsibilities
- Align project and program portfolios with the companys strategic vision and business goals.
- Provide regular, concise reporting to C-level executives on project status, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
- Develop executive dashboards and performance reports to support informed decision-making.
- Identify portfolio-level risks, interdependencies, and opportunities for optimization or growth.
- Support leadership in prioritization, governance, and investment decisions across projects.
2. Engineering & Technical Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and technical teams to plan, prioritize, and execute project deliverables.
- Ensure technical feasibility, appropriate resource allocation, and adherence to delivery timelines.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve project management frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Monitor technical dependencies, bottlenecks, delivery risks, and quality assurance metrics.
- Promote best practices in delivery, documentation, and continuous improvement.
3. Business & Operational Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure projects deliver measurable business value.
- Track budgets, forecasts, ROI, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across all initiatives.
- Translate complex technical project updates into clear business insights for stakeholders.
- Lead stakeholder communication, risk mitigation, and change management activities.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards, policies, and reporting requirements.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable execution plans.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
- Solid technical understanding to effectively collaborate with engineering teams.
- Proactive risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project or program management within multi-functional environments.
- Proven experience working with executive leadership and translating strategy into execution.
