The Employee Relations Lead plays a critical role in bridging strategy and execution within the Employee Relations function. Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, this role leads and supports Employee Relations Coordinators while ensuring the accurate management, analysis, and reporting of employee relations data.

This position combines hands-on employee relations expertise, people leadership, and data-driven insights to strengthen compliance, improve processes, and enhance the overall employee experience.

Employee Relations & Case Oversight

  • Act as a senior point of escalation for complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disputes, misconduct, and performance-related concerns.

Support and guide Employee Relations Coordinators in managing cases, investigations, and documentation to ensure consistency and fairness.

  • Ensure employee relations cases are handled in line with company policies, labour laws, and best practices.
  • Partner closely with the Employee Relations Manager on sensitive or high-risk cases.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Employee Relations Coordinators, providing day-to-day guidance and quality control.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure timely case resolution and operational efficiency.
  • Support onboarding and continuous development of coordinators through training, feedback, and best-practice sharing.
  • Act as a key liaison between coordinators, management, camp operations, and other HR teams.

Data Management & Analytics

  • Own the accuracy, integrity, and maintenance of employee relations data across systems and trackers.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure records, case notes, and documentation are complete and up to date.
  • Analyse employee relations data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities (e.g., grievances, misconduct, exits, performance issues).
  • Prepare dashboards, reports, and insights for HR leadership to support decision-making and proactive interventions.
  • Recommend process improvements based on data findings.

Policy, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal governance standards.
  • Assist in training managers and supervisors on employee relations processes, documentation standards, and conflict resolution.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies through data-driven insights.

🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in employee relations or HR, with demonstrated exposure to investigations and case management.
  • Prior experience guiding or leading junior HR/ER team members (formal or informal).
  • Strong working knowledge of labour laws, employee relations practices, and HR policies.
  • Proven experience with data management, reporting, and analytics (Excel, dashboards, HRIS, or case management systems).
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and organisational capabilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Experience working with large frontline or operational workforces.
  • Familiarity with HRIS or employee relations case management tools.
  • Knowledge of Qatar labour laws and regional HR best practices.
  • Experience presenting insights and trends to senior stakeholders.
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
