Responsibilities
- Manage the full OTC trade lifecycle for institutional clients by providing price quotations and trade executions, and conducting internal hedge requirements.
- Drive new volumes and provide market color to clients by understanding their trade and liquidity needs, and building trust through frequent communications.
- Work closely with the VIP sales team to identify new clients and business opportunities.
- Monitor electronic OTC flow of spot and derivatives products, and calibrate risk metrics.
- Perform trade execution on DeFi and decentralized platforms when needed.
- Support ad-hoc tasks related to trade investigations, risk management, post trade analysis, and algorithm performance analysis.
- Work with the trade operations, developers, and quants to improve middle-office operations, booking and reporting logic, and internal pricing and execution strategies.
- Strong education background, preferably Masters, from fields of finance, engineering, or mathematics.
- 2+ years of working experience as an OTC Sales Trader in the financial/crypto industry.
- Good understanding of the OTC trade lifecycle, OTC pricing and execution methods, settlements, and the different roles of exchanges, liquidity providers, prime brokers, etc.
- Solid understanding of the financial markets, market microstructure, liquidity concepts, and risk exposure mitigation.
- Excellent analytical skills, self-motivated, highly independent, and takes initiative.
- Excellent communication skills, and comfortable to communicate with a global team across different geographies and functions.
- Experience working with electronic OTC flows and structured products is a plus.
- Ability to work with Python and SQL is a plus.
- Experience/interest in the crypto/DeFi industry is a plus.
- Strong English is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders. Additional languages Spanish would be a strong advantage.
