We're looking for an expert to join our client's team, focused on enhancing the operational methodologies within the organization. The role involves guiding product development teams in adopting best practices for creating, testing, deploying, and releasing applications, ensuring that they operate with a high degree of autonomy. The individual must possess a comprehensive view of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and demonstrate strong technical and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with improving team deliverables through training and analysis, ultimately building a strategic improvement plan that may encompass:

  • Software craftsmanship
  • Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) / Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Agile Testing
  • Gherkin (Domain-Specific Language)
  • Trunk-based development


Collaboration with the squads and other coaches will be crucial in identifying and resolving process pain points, and enhancing tool utilization within development teams.

Technical Expertise

The current platform encompasses:

  • Continuous build and integration
  • Automated deployment
  • Code scanning tools for quality and security
  • Testing tools including unit testing, test automation, service virtualization, and performance testing
  • Collaboration and release management tools
  • Workstation development tools


Proficiency in the following technical areas is essential:

  • Continuous build, integration, and deployment systems
  • Java/iOS/Android/JavaScript development
  • Source code (SVN/Git) and artifact repositories (Nexus)
  • Scripting languages for automation
  • Familiarity with Agile frameworks and practices such as impact mapping and story mapping


Experience with mobile development tools for Android and iOS, code scanning tools, and containerization technologies (like Docker or Kubernetes) would be considered advantageous.
