We're Building AI That Sells Cars

Optimy.ai is an automotive AI platform used by 300+ dealerships across North America. When a customer texts, calls, or submits a lead — our AI responds instantly. Speed wins in this industry.

We're growing fast in a $500M+ market and need developers who want to grow with us.

Role Description

We're hiring 2 Junior Developers in Toronto. Hybrid role — office days are coming as we scale the team.

What makes this different:

You'll learn to build software with AI — using Claude and custom tooling we've built to ship commercial-quality features faster than traditional teams. This is where development is heading, and you'll be doing it from day one.

Who We're Looking For

We hire on potential, not pedigree.

If you're the kind of person who:

• Learns hard things because you want to, not because you have to

• Tinkers with new tech on your own time

• Gets excited talking about what you're building or learning

• Figures things out without waiting to be told what to do

...we want to talk to you.

We don't care what language you know. We'll teach you our stack. We care that you're driven to get better.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Foundation in Computer Science principles and development methodologies
  • Proactive mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Tech Stack

•      Backend: PHP (Laravel/Lumen), Node.js, TypeScript, GO, Python

•      Database: MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis

•      Infrastructure: Docker, AWS

•      Testing: PHPUnit, Playwright

•      AI Tools: Claude Code, custom AI-assisted self-learning workflows

To Apply We Need

1. Resume

2. Something hard you learned on your own — What was it? Why did you choose it? How did you figure it out?

3. What you're currently experimenting with.

  • What tech or project has your attention right now?
  • What's got you excited?

4. Link to something you've built.

  • GitHub, deployed app, side project, anything

Short answers are fine. We want to see how you think, not how you write essays.
