TRADING SYSTEMS ENGINEER (HFT / SYSTEMATIC)

Are you a trading systems engineer looking to work closer to the point where code meets markets, without becoming a quant or a pure infra engineer?

Hyphen works with systematic trading firms, market makers, and HFTs across Singapore and APAC to hire Trading Systems Engineers supporting live trading across equities, derivatives, commodities, and crypto.

We specialise in trading systems engineering hiring and have personally placed quant / low latency / developers and trading systems engineers into buy-side environments, with both the established industry leading firms and new players in the market.

These roles sit close to execution and market data, where latency, reliability, and correctness directly affect PnL. They are not generic backend roles and not pure infrastructure positions.

What we’re looking for

• Experience building or supporting trading or execution systems in a low-latency or high-throughput environment
• Strong C++ and/or Java (Rust a plus), with real production ownership
• Comfort working with market data, order lifecycles, and trading workflows
• Experience collaborating closely with traders or quants, not working in isolation

Strong plus

• Background in HFT, market making, or systematic trading
• Exposure to exchange connectivity, order management, or execution logic
• Python experience for tooling, diagnostics, or research support
