About The Role

The Senior UX/UI Designer at Ford Motor Company will spearhead comprehensive design initiatives spanning user research, strategy development, UX, and UI execution. This role demands a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive, visually compelling solutions. The successful candidate will lead end-to-end design processes, including discovery, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, ensuring that user needs and business goals are seamlessly integrated. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the accurate implementation of designs and maintain consistency across design systems. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior designers, facilitating workshops and design sprints, and actively participating in usability testing to refine user experiences based on research insights. The Senior UX/UI Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility by creating innovative digital experiences that elevate customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design and development
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems and components
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions to stakeholders
• Knowledge of front-end development principles is a plus
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive UX processes including discovery, research, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
• Translate user needs and business objectives into innovative, user-friendly designs
• Create high-fidelity UI designs, components, and contribute to the development of design system assets
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions to gather insights and align teams
• Utilize research, analytics, and feedback to iterate and refine design solutions continuously
• Collaborate with developers to ensure precise implementation of designs and maintain design integrity
• Communicate design rationale and decisions effectively to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Mentor junior designers, fostering growth and skill development within the team
• Participate actively in usability testing, research activities, and iterative improvements based on data insights
