Position: Legal Project Manager
Location: Washington, DC
Working Model: In-office 4 days per week
Rate: $100 per hour
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the back-office integration of a large, confidential, cross-country law firm merger or acquisition. This is a high-impact role within a consulting-led M&A programme, requiring strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams.
Reporting into an M&A Programme Manager, you will play a key role in planning, tracking, and executing integration activities in a highly confidential and fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans supporting merger integration activities
- Facilitate planning sessions and working meetings with internal teams and stakeholders
- Monitor task completion, dependencies, and risks, escalating issues to task owners or the Programme Manager as appropriate
- Lead and support integration planning and execution discussions with law firm operational teams (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, Compliance)
- Ensure clear documentation, action tracking, and regular status reporting
- Operate with discretion and professionalism within a confidential M&A programme
Qualifications
- Years of Project Management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable facilitating meetings with C-suite leaders, senior partners, and lawyers
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
