About the Project

We are supporting a large-scale cloud migration initiative, moving workloads from Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The project requires an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who will take a leading role in planning and executing the migration, ensuring a secure, reliable, and efficient transition while maintaining high operational standards.

Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with Grid Dynamics engineering teams and the customer’s technical stakeholders to design, implement, and manage the Azure-to-GCP migration. You will be responsible for cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and post-migration stability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the migration of workloads from Azure to GCP, including compute, storage, networking, and supporting services
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure and GCP during the migration phase
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for migration, testing, and production deployments
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments, testing, and operational readiness
• Review and improve architecture, infrastructure, and deployment processes
• Mentor and support engineers involved in the migration project
• Ensure reliability, scalability, security, and adherence to cloud best practices

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering
• Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects
• Strong expertise in Azure and GCP (VMs, storage, networking, load balancers, API gateways)
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong Infrastructure as Code skills (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates)
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell, or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices
• Upper-intermediate (B2) English or higher

Nice to Have

• Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience
• Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd)
• Exposure to serverless architectures
• Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards
