Step into a role where your analytical thinking genuinely shapes how a major national organisation runs. We’re looking for a Data Scientist who can blend strong technical capability with real business understanding, helping operational teams make smarter, faster decisions every day.


You’ll be part of a central analytics function that partners closely with leaders across the business. Your work will be hands-on, insights-driven, and directly tied to improving performance, productivity and forecasting accuracy.


What you’ll work on

  • Exploring large operational datasets to uncover patterns, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Sitting alongside business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into analytical tasks
  • Designing dashboards, reports and visual tools that bring clarity to complex information
  • Using statistical techniques and machine-learning methods to sharpen forecasts and optimise resource planning
  • Spotting opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen cross-team collaboration


What you’ll bring

  • Around 3+ years’ experience in data science, analytics or BI roles
  • A degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience building predictive models to support forecasting and operational decision-making
  • Hands-on experience applying machine-learning techniques to real business problems
  • Strong capability with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling
  • Solid SQL skills for working with large, imperfect datasets
  • Experience using Python or R for analysis, predictive modelling and Machine Learning
  • Confidence communicating insights and model outputs to stakeholders at all levels of the business
