Location: Hasselt, Belgium (On-site 3–4 days per week)

About the Company:

We are partnering with a leading technology company operating within the aerospace sector, specialising in advanced GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) solutions. As the organisation continues to expand, they are seeking a Network & Security Engineer to support the setup, maintenance, and security of their office network infrastructure across multiple locations.


Role Overview:

The Network & Security Engineer will play a hands-on role in establishing and maintaining the company’s office networks, supporting Linux-based environments, and ensuring secure, stable operations across two new office sites in Hasselt. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys a mix of technical configuration, on-site setup, and close collaboration with engineering teams and external contractors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, and maintain office network infrastructure
  • Assist with server setup and general systems configuration
  • Provide oversight & support to handymen during physical installations, including wiring, cabling, and hardware placement
  • Manage and monitor firewalls, VLANs, and overall network security
  • Support Linux-based environments and troubleshoot network or connectivity issues
  • Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to support the rollout of two new Hasselt office locations
  • Ensure network reliability, documentation, and operational best practices


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (mandatory requirement)
  • Strong experience working in Linux environments
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, firewalls, VLANs, and basic network security protocols
  • Comfortable working hands-on in an on-site environment
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience supporting multi-site office setups
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, FPGA, RF, or software engineering environments is a plus
