Senior Web Developer (Java & Angular)
South Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days in-office)
Permanent - €90,000 + Benefits
We’re on the lookout for two experienced web developers who love building enterprise-scale applications and want to work with both Java and modern front-end tools like Angular. If you enjoy collaborating across teams, writing clean and secure code, and coming up with creative solutions to complex problems — this one’s for you.
What you’ll do
- Build, maintain, and improve enterprise web apps using Java, JSP, Struts, and WebSphere.
- Work closely with BAs, QA, and backend engineers to deliver solid, scalable software.
- Write clear, testable, and well-documented code.
- Review code, share ideas, and help raise the technical bar.
- Keep performance and scalability front of mind.
- Investigate and fix any tech issues that pop up.
- Make sure all your work lines up with internal security and quality standards.
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java (J2EE) and Angular (ideally version 12+).
- Solid knowledge of Struts and IBM WebSphere.
- Strong skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful and SOAP services.
- Familiarity with Angular Material, Reactive Forms, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Understanding of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Used to working in Agile teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Spring Boot or Node.js.
- Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps environments.
- A bit of UX/design flair.
- Contributions to open-source or tech community projects.
