Role Description:

Atlas HUB team is looking for a Frontend Developer to join our R&D team and help build mission-critical web applications used by defense and security forces worldwide.

As part of our core development team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance, real-time web interfaces for drone operations, video streaming, and mission control. This role involves close collaboration with multiple software teams and ownership of the frontend application throughout its full lifecycle - from development to deployment in production environments.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Riga, Latvia.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex ReactJS-based web applications.
• Build intuitive, responsive, and high-performance UIs for real-time mission-critical systems.
• Integrate real-time data communication with backend services using WebSocket.
• Implement and maintain WebRTC-based video streaming components.
• Optimize application performance for low-latency, high-reliability environments.
• Collaborate closely with product and UX/UI teams.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Ensure high code quality, testing coverage, and adherence to best practices.

Required skills:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience developing with ReactJS.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles (e.g. OOP).
• Experience working with real-time data or event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with Git-based workflows and development tools (Git, Jira, Bitbucket, etc.).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and learn quickly.

Would be considered as an advantage:

• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Hands-on experience with WebSocket and/or WebRTC protocols.
• Exposure to full-stack development, including Python based services.
• Background in real-time systems or video streaming.
• Experience working on mission-critical or high-reliability systems.
