About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack / Backend Engineer to join our team of seasoned professionals who are passionate about building a truly groundbreaking product for the global market.

In this role, you will focus on designing and building an enterprise-level backend platform that processes large volumes of insurance data, orchestrates LLM-based models, integrates with external systems, executes complex business logic, and exposes results to the frontend via REST APIs.

You will work in agile sprints with product, data science, and engineering colleagues, contributing to both discovery and delivery. The initial phase of the engagement will focus on building a production-ready product and implementing it at a customer insurance company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to design and implement innovative, data-driven solutions.
• Design and build an enterprise-level backend platform capable of handling large-scale insurance datasets and AI/LLM workflows.
• Implement integrations, business logic, and REST APIs to support frontend application and external systems.
• Influence product and platform architecture by contributing best practices in modern software engineering, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 50% on-site presence in Vilnius and citizenship or residency in an EEA country, due to data privacy and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a backend engineer (or full-stack engineer with strong backend focus).
• Extensive experience in Python programming.
• Experience with SQL and other query languages with strong focus on data analysis.
• Proven hands-on experience with data services from Azure cloud platform.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the insurance or financial domain is a strong advantage.
