About the role

Our client develops a mobile-first collaboration platform that supports professionals in a highly operational, hands-on industry. The application is used daily by a large and growing user base to streamline communication, reduce friction, and bring clarity to complex projects.

They are now looking to strengthen their mobile team with an experienced React Native developer who will play a key role in shaping the future of the app.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the transition from a legacy hybrid mobile solution to a modern React Native application built with Expo and contemporary tooling, ensuring long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Design and implement new features driven by real user needs and a clearly defined product roadmap, delivering tangible improvements for end users.
• Ensure high performance and reliability across devices through thorough testing, optimization, and automated test coverage (e.g. Jest).
• Integrate the mobile application with existing RESTful services provided by a Laravel-based backend, keeping mobile and web data fully aligned.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner and the web development team to create a consistent and coherent experience across platforms.
• Manage the end-to-end mobile release cycle, including preparing, publishing, and maintaining builds in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Explore practical AI-driven enhancements—such as intelligent summaries or assistance during audio and video interactions—focused on delivering real user value rather than experimental features.

Your profile:

• Strong, hands-on experience with React Native and TypeScript; familiarity with Expo is a plus.
• Proven track record in mobile application development, including shipping and maintaining apps in major app stores.
• A solid understanding of mobile UX and UI principles, with a natural feel for intuitive and efficient user experiences.
• Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership, while also enjoying collaboration and knowledge sharing within a team.
• Professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.
