🔥 New freelance role - Senior Network Engineer – Cisco ACI (Data Centre)

📅 6-month contract, hybrid in Rotterdam / customer visits in Randstad

💶 32-40 hours per week, up to €95/hour

Kando is looking for a senior, hands-on network engineer to support and maintain large-scale Cisco ACI data centre environments across multiple customers.

This role sits firmly in the run / maintain / stabilise phase. You’ll operate as an external sparring partner to an experienced internal engineers who owns new fabric design, while you take ownership of the day-to-day health and operation of existing environments.

What you’ll be doing

✅ Operating and maintaining Cisco ACI fabrics in production

✅ Supporting large-scale data centre networks in mission-critical environments

✅ Handling upgrades, changes, troubleshooting and stability work

✅ Working hands-on with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst platforms

✅ Diagnosing and resolving complex L2/L3 networking issues

✅ Working with customer teams across multiple clients

What matters most

✅ Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ACI in live environments

✅ Solid data centre networking background

✅ Comfortable working in a maintenance / operations-focused role

✅Happy to be hands-on rather than owning full architectural design

Nice to have (not essential)

⭐ Some exposure to VXLAN / EVPN

⭐ Familiarity with Nexus Dashboard / NDFC

⭐ Design experience (as a sparring partner, not lead architect)

⭐ Dutch language skills

📍 1 day per week onsite in Rotterdam, otherwise in consultation

💶 Around €95/hour
