We are seeking a Java Platform Engineer to work on our infrastructure platform that enables the development of modular Java systems. This role combines maintenance responsibilities with new feature development to support our evolving business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain our custom Java infrastructure platform that supports modular system architecture
- Implement new features and enhancements based on business requirements
- Build solutions that enable efficient business logic implementation across different architectural patterns (microservices, modulith)
- Integrate third-party open-source libraries and ensure compliance with licensing constraints
- Contribute to platform evolution with focus on speed, quality, and maintainability
- Participate in periodic Java version upgrades (currently on Java 21)
- Strong proficiency in pure Java development (Java 21 or recent versions)
- Experience building applications **without** major frameworks like Spring Boot
- Understanding of modular system design and architecture
- Familiarity with different deployment architectures (microservices, modulith)
- Knowledge of open-source licensing and dependency management
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code
