As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s network infrastructure supporting our digital marketplaces and global corporate environment.
The role covers local offices (Barcelona, Madrid, Valladolid, and Bilbao) and Amazon data centers, ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and optimal network performance. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, SRE, and development teams to ensure efficient connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments (mainly AWS and Azure), applying ITIL practices for incident and change management, automation, and thorough documentation.
Job Requirements
Technical Skills
- 5+ years as a Network Engineer in enterprise/high-availability environments.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols: BGP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IPse
- Hands-on experience with cloud networking (VPCs, peering, Transit Gateway, CloudFront, Cloud VPN).
- Solid knowledge of firewalls, routing, and network security.
- Experience with network automation/scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices (GitOps, pipelines).
- Experience applying ITIL frameworks for incident/change management.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP or AWS Advanced Networking.
- Experience working in multi-cloud or Software Defined Networking (SDN) environments.
- Experience with remote access and cloud security solutions (GlobalProtect, Prisma Access).
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN networks across corporate and data center environments.
- Manage and optimize connectivity between on-premises and cloud infrastructures (AWS).
- Configure and maintain Cisco networking technologies, Palo Alto and pfSense firewalls (including Prisma Access, GlobalProtect and Ubiquiti solutions), VPN solutions, and IDS systems.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between corporate sites and production systems.
- Automate network provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code tools (Github, Ansible, Terraform, Python).
- Responsible for monitoring infrastructure and applications through AWS CloudWatch, Zabbix, and/or PRTG.
- Collaborate with Security Operations to enforce network security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues (Layers 2–7) and perform detailed traffic analysis.
- Apply ITIL-based incident and change management processes.
- Participate in the design of resilient and scalable architectures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of topologies, configurations, and operational procedures.
