Backend Engineer – AI-Driven SaaS Product – up to EUR 80K – Utrecht / Hybrid

My client is a start-up that per 2026 started building an AI-driven SaaS product. The product provides knowledge workers a high degree of automation consequently these teams have much more time for human interaction. This leads to much more value creation within the organizations. Many repetitive and manual actions are automated by this AI-driven SaaS product. But this is only the beginning of the many valuable features that will be built. A more groundbreaking example is the ability to filter conflicting statements in huge amounts of documents.

The enormous attention for AI (ChatGPT) has paid off for my client. But my client was already working on their vision before the AI hype (blue print was drawn back in 2018). This resulted in a very successful scale-up, and this new start-up is a spin off.

As a Backend Engineer, you will contribute to the technical realization of this new to build AI SaaS product. The initial team further consists of a Data Scientist, Lead Developer, Product Owner, Sales Executive & CEO.

You bring:

• Interest in absorbing AI & ML knowledge;
• Demonstrable seniority with Python and ideally FastAPI;
• Knowledge and experience with more tooling that you like to contribute and introduce to my client.
