Job Role - Customer Engineer

Location: Turkey (Remote with Office Option)

Role Overview

As a Customer Engineer, you will act as a technical partner to both internal teams and external customers, supporting AI data workflows end to end. This role combines hands-on engineering work with problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration across distributed teams.

In addition to data workflows, this role may involve building or extending internal tools, services, and lightweight applications that support operational efficiency, customer delivery, and project visibility. You will work directly with real-world data, Python-based tooling, APIs, and AI annotation platforms to ensure projects run smoothly and deliver high-quality outcomes.

This role requires independence, strong communication, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for internal and external customers, assisting with integration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure the successful execution of AI data projects
  • Write, debug, and optimize Python scripts and services supporting data processing, workflow automation, and internal tooling
  • Build or contribute to internal tools, dashboards, or lightweight applications used by engineering, operations, or customer teams
  • Work with large datasets, annotation tools, APIs, and structured data formats to support AI and machine learning initiatives
  • Document technical processes, solutions, and customer feedback to improve workflows, tooling, and repeatability
  • Assist in testing and validating AI model outputs and internal systems to maintain data quality and reliability


Skills and Qualifications


  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in a technical, customer-facing, data engineering, software engineering, or support engineering role
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and application or service development
  • Experience working with structured data such as JSON and APIs
  • Exposure to building or maintaining internal tools, services, or applications (backend or full stack)
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Flexibility to work adjusted hours when needed to support a global workforce
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, changing environment

Bonus Qualifications

  • Full-stack experience, including familiarity with frontend technologies (for example, JavaScript, React, or similar)
  • Experience with Linux and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts and data annotation tools
  • Prior experience working in a fully remote or distributed team environment
