Role Overview:
- The Network Operations Engineer (Advanced L2) plays a key role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the global enterprise network infrastructure
- This position focuses on operational excellence through proactive monitoring, incident management, change execution, and collaboration with engineering and vendor teams
- The role demands strong technical expertise in routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and network services, combined with a practical understanding of enterprise IT operations processes and tools
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in managing complex enterprise networks, demonstrates strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced global environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, support, and maintain the global enterprise network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, RVPN, Internet, and Cloud connectivity
- Respond to network incidents, outages, and performance issues ensuring quick recovery and minimal impact on business operations, while proactively notifying customers and communicating business impact
- Perform detailed root cause analysis and drive long-term corrective actions in collaboration with network engineering and vendor teams
- Execute change management activities with proper planning, risk assessment and validation - including configuration, maintenance, and software upgrades (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, load balancers, WAN accelerators) - in coordination with site IT teams for predictable results
- Maintain and update network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Analyze and optimize network performance using tools such as SevOne, Grafana, SolarWinds, or NetMRI, identifying areas for improvement and capacity planning
- Coordinate with service providers and vendors to track and resolve connectivity and performance issues, ensuring SLA compliance
- Support and validate new deployments, projects and technology integrations in collaboration with Network Engineering, Security and Infrastructure teams
- Contribute to the development and improvement of network monitoring, alerting, and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent discipline/ experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations or advanced network support role
- Professional-level certification - CCNP or equivalent certification/knowledge/experience
Technical Expertise:
- Networking Fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, TACACS, IP SLA, SNMP
- Physical Connectivity: Transceivers, optics, fiber, panels, patching standards
- Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP, EtherChannel
- Firewalls & VPN: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, FortiGate, IPSec/SSL VPN
- Wireless: Cisco 9800/5520 WLCs, WiFi Site Surveys
- Load Balancers: Citrix ADC (NetScaler)
- Access Control: Familiarity with Cisco ISE for RADIUS and TACACS authentication services
Tools & Platforms:
- Strong working knowledge of Windows/Linux, Ofice, GDrive, Visio, Miro, Slack, Zoom, SecureCRT
- Working knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management – ServiceNow preferred)
- Experience with network tools and systems: tcpdump, Wireshark, iPerf, Nmap, SevOne, SolarWinds, Grafana, NetMRI

- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills across global teams
- Strong analytical and documentation abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining professionalism

- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global, and fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI
- Scripting and automation: Python, PowerShell, Ansible, REST APIs
- Familiarity with network automation frameworks such as Ansible, Nornir, NetMiko
- Understanding of API integrations and data pipelines (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, SilverPeak, Citrix)
- Experience with structured data formats (XML, JSON, YAML)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Puppet, Chef)
