QuantumGate is seeking a motivated Associate Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team working on secure, post-quantum cryptographic systems. This role combines software development, integration, testing, quality assurance, and deployment activities. Ideal for early-career professionals, this is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to real-world applications of secure technologies
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of senior technical staff and in collaboration with engineers across disciplines, the Associate Engineer will contribute to:
- Software development of tools, utilities, and components for secure communication and post-quantum cryptographic systems
- System integration and testing, including the development of automated test scripts and test frameworks
- Quality assurance (QA) and verification activities, including debugging, issue tracking, and regression testing
- Design, implementation, and execution of test plans, test cases, and validation procedures
- Building and maintaining prototype setups, including physical and virtual system environments
- Preparing and supporting customer deployments, including configuration and environment validation
- Conducting training sessions and providing technical guidance to end-users or partners
- Technical documentation (test reports, user manuals, deployment guides, etc.)
- Supporting root cause analysis, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
- Cross-functional collaboration with development, product, and security teams
- Other duties as required by the evolving scope of QuantumGate’s engineering and product roadmap
Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and version control practices
- Proficiency or hands-on experience with:
- Programming & scripting: Python, Java, MATLAB, VBA
- GIT, Gerrit, GitLab, confluence
- Productivity / collaboration tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and tools like git
- Basic familiarity with digital signal processing, secure communication, or cryptographic principles is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and methodical problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and write clear reports
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adaptability and motivation to learn in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience through internships, academic projects, or entry-level roles
- Interest or background in cybersecurity, post-quantum cryptography, or secure systems is desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
- Arabic (spoken and written)
