We are seeking an experienced Airframe Systems Project Manager to lead complex aerospace projects focused on airframe structures and integrated systems. This role will manage the full project lifecycle — including budgeting, planning, execution, monitoring, change and risk management, and delivery — while driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables for airframe systems.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including design, stress analysis, procurement, finance, manufacturing, quality, legal, and ILS.
  • Coordinate the integration of airframe subsystems (structures, hydraulics, landing gear, composites, actuation systems, ECS, and fuel systems).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant aerospace certification and defense standards (FAA/EASA, MIL‑STD, etc.).
  • Support design reviews, testing campaigns, and production readiness activities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering teams, suppliers, and senior leadership.
  • Develop, issue, and manage RFIs, RFPs, and supplier contracts for airframe subsystem components.
  • Track supplier performance, risks, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and dashboards for program reviews.
  • Manage customer expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Apply project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, Earned Value Management).
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, reporting, and process optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at every stage.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8–12 years of aerospace/defense project management experience with direct exposure to airframe systems.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft airframe structures, composites, and systems integration.
  • Experience working on development programs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budget management, scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera), and risk management.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive-level stakeholders.

Technical Tools

  • MS Project or Primavera for scheduling and resource planning.
  • ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent) for project tracking and reporting.
  • Risk management platforms for monitoring and mitigation.
  • Collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, or equivalent.

Ideal Attributes

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and methodical.
  • Effective communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality excellence.
