Job Description:
The client's clarification confirms that the role is for a highly skilled engineer who prioritizes modern Swift features and end-to-end development practices. This goes beyond simple app development into core engineering and architecture.
Swift Language, Generics, and Concurrency
- Must move beyond basic UIKit knowledge to demonstrate mastery of advanced Swift features.
- Expertise in using Async/Await and {Actors for safe, performant asynchronous code, replacing older concepts like Grand Central Dispatch (GCD).
- Strong advocate for Protocol-Oriented Programming (POP).
Apple APIs & Frameworks
- Must have hands-on experience implementing native Apple security features.
- Experience with frameworks that go beyond visual elements (e.g., WebKit for custom browsing experiences, Authentication Services for sign-in).
Apple Ecosystem Using CI/CD
- Flow of CI/CD pipeline for an iOS app, from code commit to TestFlight/App Store release
- The candidate must be fully comfortable with the entire app lifecycle, including setting up and troubleshooting automated builds
- Required practical experience using Xcode Instruments (e.g., Time Profiler, Leaks tool) to diagnose and fix performance issues
AI Tools
The ideal candidate leverages AI tools to automate boilerplate code, speed up testing, or quickly learn a new framework
