We are Systematix, and we are currently looking for a Cybersecurity Consultant for our client.


ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Systematix is supporting our client's cybersecurity initiative within the Cyber Security and Risk Management (CSRM) Branch. This engagement is part of a broader, multi-year effort to strengthen and mature enterprise cybersecurity capabilities across government.


The project focuses on advancing the our client's Cybersecurity Maturity Program, supporting secure solution delivery, risk management, policy enforcement, and enterprise-wide cybersecurity advisory services across systems, applications, and infrastructure.


ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will act as a senior cybersecurity advisor supporting enterprise initiatives across government. You will provide security guidance throughout the project lifecycle, conduct threat and risk assessments, interpret and apply security policies and standards, and support incident response and remediation activities as required.


You will work closely with project teams, architects, technical staff, and leadership to ensure cybersecurity risks are identified early, appropriately mitigated, and clearly communicated to stakeholders at both technical and executive levels.


REQUIREMENTS:

Must-have:

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including enterprise security advisory roles
  • Strong experience conducting Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs) for IT initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting and enforcing information security policies and standards
  • Experience providing cybersecurity input for solution design, procurements, and implementations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impacts
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan


Nice-to-have:

  • Experience working in government or other highly regulated environments
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity maturity models and long-term security planning
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting incident response, security awareness, or compliance initiatives


ABOUT THE ROLE:

Location: Onsite – Regina, Saskatchewan

Duration: Contract (1 year, with up to two additional one-year extensions)

Anticipated Start Date: March 23, 2026

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week


PAY DISCLOSURE:

The average hourly pay range for this field is as follows:


Junior (0–5 years): $60–75/hr

Intermediate (6–9 years): $75–95/hr

Senior (10+ years): $95–120/hr


Compensation is commensurate with these standards; exceptions may apply based on experience, certifications, skills, and market conditions.
