Job Summary

The incumbent’s goal is to safeguard the organization’s network infrastructure by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, resilient, and high‑performance network security systems. The role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Mowasalat’s network environment while proactively defending against cyber threats and supporting operational continuity.

Main Responsibilities

Network Security Design and Implementation

• Design and implement secure network architectures aligned with organizational security objectives.
• Deploy and configure firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies to ensure robust protection.
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to integrate security measures across infrastructures.

Threat Management and Incident Response

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate risks.
• Investigate, contain, and resolve security incidents by performing root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain and enhance incident response plans to ensure timely response to threats.

Network Security Operations and Maintenance

• Monitor network activity using advanced security tools to detect suspicious behavior.
• Maintain accurate hardware audits, inventories, and configuration backups.
• Perform scheduled updates, patches, and firmware upgrades to maintain operational stability.

Security Governance and Compliance

• Implement automation tools to streamline security processes and improve efficiency.
• Enhance overall security posture through innovation and industry best practices.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot complex network outages and coordinate with ISPs and vendors when required.
• Assist in escalations to ensure timely resolution of security and network incidents.

Qualifications, Certificates & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in network security engineering.

Certifications

Relevant certifications may include:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CompTIA Security+
