The Senior MEP Project Manager – Data Centres Opportunity

Due to significant project wins, a leading global, multi-disciplinary data centre consultancy is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead major data centre developments in Doha, Qatar.

This is a high-profile leadership role within a fast-growing organisation renowned for technical excellence across hyperscale, enterprise, and mission-critical environments.

You will take ownership of projects from concept through commissioning, acting as the senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.

Beyond project delivery, this role offers the opportunity to shape regional growth, influence strategy, and build and lead your own team as the business continues to expand across the GCC.

The Senior MEP Project Manager – Data Centres Role

As Senior MEP Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex data centre projects from an MEP perspective, while maintaining strong commercial control and client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading MEP delivery of data centre / critical systems projects from design through testing & commissioning
• Acting as the client-facing lead, representing the consultancy at senior stakeholder level
• Managing PMC / Client Representative responsibilities including cost, risk, programme, and quality control
• Coordinating with design leads, site teams, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical and site issues
• Overseeing data centre MEP infrastructure (power, cooling, resilience, redundancy)
• Supporting business growth through proactive client engagement and relationship management
• Mentoring and developing project engineers and supporting team expansion
• Ensuring compliance with Uptime Institute, TIA-942-B, and regional standards
• Representing the business at industry events and across the regional data centre ecosystem

Essential experience & skills - Senior MEP Project Manager – Data Centres

To be considered, you must bring strong data centre MEP project management experience.

• 10+ years’ experience in data centre MEP infrastructure (power & cooling)
• Proven track record delivering data centre projects in the MENA region
• Strong experience in PMC / Client Representative roles
• Excellent commercial, cost, and risk management capability
• In-depth understanding of Uptime Tiers, TIA-942-B, and critical systems design
• Experience with data centre testing & commissioning
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work autonomously
• Excellent written and spoken English
• CAD / Revit proficiency
• Willingness to travel across the GCC (KSA, UAE, Bahrain, etc.)

Highly desirable:

• Uptime Institute knowledge (ATD / UTI certification advantageous)
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline
• Experience supporting business development and client growth
