Job Title: Business Analyst / QA Consultant – Loan IQ (Finastra)

Role Summary

The Business Analyst / QA Consultant will support implementation, enhancement, integration, and quality assurance of the Finastra Fusion Loan IQ system. The role combines business analysis, functional expertise, and QA/testing responsibilities to ensure Loan IQ solutions align with banking business requirements, regulatory standards, and system integration needs.

Key Technical & Functional Requirements

Loan IQ Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Finastra Fusion Loan IQ implementations, upgrades, or support.
  • Strong understanding of Loan IQ framework, architecture, and data model.
  • In-depth knowledge of Loan IQ Data Dictionary (version 7.7.x).
  • Expertise in Loan IQ functional configurations and end-to-end process flows for syndicated and bilateral loans.
  • Strong experience in RFR (Risk-Free Rate) functionality.

Loan IQ SDK & Integration

  • Competent in Loan IQ SDK development, including:
    • Inquiry Scripts
    • Event Management
    • Scripted APIs
    • Scripted Batch Processing
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • SDK scripted batches
    • Event triggers and controller events
    • Inquiry APIs
  • Ability to debug interface and functional issues effectively.
  • Experience with nightly batch processing, loan processing, pricing, accruals, and accounting.
Payments, Accounting & GL

  • Strong understanding of Loan IQ MX Payments.
  • Expertise in GL generation through:
    • Batch Accounting
    • Online Accounting
  • Solid knowledge of loan accounting, accruals, and financial postings.

  • Core Java / J2EE

Business Analysis & QA Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze Business Requirement Specifications (BRS).
  • Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, and detailed test cases covering all scope areas.
  • Perform SIT and UAT testing for Loan IQ and integrated banking systems.
  • Conduct test scope analysis, regression testing, and test execution.
  • Manage defect lifecycle, including logging, tracking, resolution, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate execution status reporting to stakeholders.
  • Track and document changes to business and functional specifications.
  • Validate system integrations with core banking and downstream systems.

Operational & Support Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and functional assistance in evaluating and improving banking systems and procedures.
  • Coordinate with system analysts, developers, and vendors to design and enhance solutions.
  • Prepare system business cycle specifications and manage calculation, posting, and control outputs.
  • Create and support user documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Answer application-related queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate actively in performance review and operational meetings.
  • Ensure strict compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and banking security standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in banking system implementation or support.
  • At least 3 years of IT experience, preferably in loan administration or core banking systems.
  • Strong exposure to Loan IQ implementations, testing, or production support.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic preferred).
  • Strong business process analysis and mapping skills.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
