These developers need deep knowledge in Unity and C# experience, need to be good but our ask in terms of really deep knowledge of memory and optimisations is a little less.
Experience in UI work in Unity is good – experience with Unity’s UI Toolkit is great but not expected because UI Toolkit is very new (and our setup in terms of UI is probably much more complex than others do). Role requires setting up screens, linking up and displaying data, icons, localised text etc.
Systems/platform-level/type engineer, optimisations, performance, memory – ideally also UI experience and UI Toolkit but the real knee-deep knowledge of Unity, C#, memory, garbage, performance is key.
Required Hard Skills
- Good experience with Unity;
- Implementing 3d-part services;
- Optimizing the existing projects;
- Performance, memory and GC optimization
- Working with Unity UI Toolkit system and other UI systems
- Developing and implementing new game functionality;
- Working with UI systems;
- Optimizing and bug-fixing on the existing projects;
- Implementing the 3rd party services.
- Experience of working with various gaming platforms;
- Experience with multiplayer projects;
- Updating the existing games (updating the engine versions)
