Running a major client-side project through full lifecycle, with a strong focus on architectural design management, stakeholder coordination and delivery of a complex pharma facility valued at $50m+


Our client is a major institutional asset owner delivering a significant pharma and health infrastructure development. The project forms part of a state-of-the-art research and laboratory precinct.


They are now seeking an experienced Client-Side Project Manager to support the delivery of this complex, design-intensive project, working closely with senior stakeholders, consultants and contractors. The role has a strong emphasis on architectural design management, stakeholder engagement and contract administration through design, procurement and construction.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience delivering complex projects (ideally health, laboratory or highly serviced buildings) to work on a career-defining project with a highly regarded organisation.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Client-side project management of a $50m+ building project

• Managing architectural design development through to delivery

• Coordinating consultants, stakeholders and contractors

• Attending and managing Design User Group meetings and tracking actions

• Managing procurement of consultants, contractors, FFE and specialist packages

• Contract administration of Design & Construct contracts

• Review of design documentation and architectural shop drawings

• Managing progress claims, payment schedules and cost reporting

• Risk, issues and change management

• Stakeholder engagement and communication at senior levels

• Managing statutory approvals and compliance processes

• Program and schedule management

• Site inspections and reporting during construction

• Oversight of defects management and warranty periods

• Ensuring compliance with WHS, governance and university processes

• Maintaining accurate project documentation and reporting


Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience delivering projects valued at $50m+

• Strong client-side project management experience

• Proven experience managing architectural design through delivery

• Contract Administration experience on Design & Construct projects

• Experience in health, laboratory, research or highly serviced buildings preferred

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex interfaces

• Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a live project environment
