Head of Software Engineering position with a brand-new SaaS startup in Ireland. Unique opportunity to join as the first member of the team – build the product, and the engineering function from the very beginning. It will be a Remote First working model.

This role will suit an ambitious Software Engineering leader who is ready for a role with a huge amount of autonomy – building a new Saas product for an ambitious technology company.

As Head of Software Engineering, you will decide on the technology stack, own the technology roadmap and build a team of software engineers.

This SaaS technology company is well funded (it is a spin off from another organization) and has a strong leadership team with a product vision and the commitment to turn it into a success. Great people to join with at an early stage. Excellent career growth opportunities as the company scales.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Head of Software Engineering, or Senior Software Engineering Manager with a track record of building technology products (ideally in a startup setting). Strong technical software engineering skills are essential for success.

Skills / experience:

• Strong experience as a senior leader of software engineering teams (Chief Technology Officer, Head of Engineering, Senior Engineering Manager or similar)

• Excellent people leader

• Track record of building technology products

• Strong hands on software engineering skills
