As an AI Researcher intern, your mission will be to work on ambitious research projects aimed at transforming how care is delivered. Specifically, you will contribute to developing patient similarity systems to improve clinical reasoning, medical decisions, and research.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Compare and evaluate different foundation models (multimodal) for patient representation
- Develop and optimize innovative similarity metrics for patient similarity search
- Structure the representation space using advanced techniques (disentanglement, invariance)
- Design search systems conditioned on text queries adapted to clinical needs
- Rigorously evaluate performance on medical tasks (prediction, generalization, out-of-distribution detection)

- You are currently a PhD student in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or a related field
- You have solid expertise in deep learning and foundation models
- You are proficient in Python and standard machine learning frameworks
- You have demonstrated ability to conduct research independently
- You are passionate about applying AI to healthcare and improving patient care
- Have experience working with structured and unstructured health data
- Are familiar with biomedical ontologies (ATC, ICD)
- Have published in top-tier scientific conferences or journals
