Apple's Cloud Platforms Engineering team is seeking a talented and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our innovative and high-energy Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. Description

We are seeking a SAP Cloud Platform Observability Engineer to contribute to the reliability, performance, and transparency of our SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment. In this position, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining observability solutions across applications and services deployed on BTP, thereby facilitating proactive monitoring, intelligent alerting, and comprehensive system behavior visibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide platform-level support and drive operational excellence for applications hosted on our cloud platforms.
• Identify root causes and resolve production issues through deep troubleshooting and analysis.
• Design, deploy, and support full-stack applications across cloud environments including SAP BTP, AWS, and GCP.
• Enhance reliability, observability, scalability, and performance through automation and cloud-native best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform.
• Guide application teams on authentication, authorization, and other cloud security best practices.
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using observability tools such as Kibana, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to the evolution of platform services.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong understanding of full-stack application design on cloud platforms.
• Exposure to cloud environments such as SAP BTP, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolsets including GitHub, Jenkins, and Terraform (or equivalents).
• Experience in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.
