ABOUT THE PROJECT / ROLE:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an engineering-led team building scalable, cloud-native back-end systems that power data-driven products at scale. This role focuses on developing and operating production services in Azure, working with event-driven architectures, automation, and maintainable codebases.

Engineering decisions are driven by technical quality and automation rather than process or hierarchy. You will work on real production systems, collaborate closely with experienced engineers, and continue to grow your technical skills in a modern cloud environment.

TECH STACK:

Languages & Frameworks

  • C#, .NET
  • SQL

Cloud & Data

  • Azure (Event Hubs, Functions, App Containers, Blob Storage, Key Vault)
  • Snowflake (working knowledge is a plus)

DevOps & Infrastructure

  • Terraform
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitoring and observability tooling

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain back-end services using cloud-native and serverless patterns
  • Contribute to event-driven systems using Azure Event Hubs
  • Build and enhance Azure Functions and container-based services
  • Work with infrastructure as code using Terraform, with guidance and code reviews
  • Work with data platforms primarily via SQL, including queries and lightweight database-level abstractions that support application functionality
  • Support services in production, including deployments, monitoring, and operational stability
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve system quality
  • Help identify technical debt and contribute to incremental improvements
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers in a shared-ownership environment

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:

Skills & Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience building and maintaining back-end systems in a production environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience with C# / .NET in real-world applications
  • Good working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational or analytical databases
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
  • Basic understanding of event-driven or distributed systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD-driven development workflows
  • Experience with Terraform, Snowflake, or similar tools is a plus, not a requirement

MINDSET & GROWTH:

  • Willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Interest in learning how to design scalable and maintainable systems
  • Openness to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Collaborative and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Fluent in English (B2 level or higher)

WE WILL OFFER YOU:

  • A dynamic work environment at OAG, fostering innovation in a progressive, non-hierarchical culture, where passionate tech enthusiasts continuously develop new products and solutions with a focus on improvement for the aviation industry
  • Support for your well-being, including access to resources and assistance
  • Opportunities to contribute to volunteering initiatives
  • Participation in team-building activities, team workshops, and group learning sessions
  • A balance between in-office and remote work (you can choose)
  • Clear opportunities to grow toward senior engineering responsibilities over time
  • Opportunities for travel to our other offices, fostering a global perspective
  • A generous annual leave policy, growing with each year of service, and a day off during your birthday month

We will ensure that the exact salary offered to you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience, and requirements for the corresponding job function (starting from 4080 EUR gross per month).
