We are looking for two Junior Full-Stack Engineers to join a start-up in Amsterdam! You will be part of the software development team which consists of 3 people.

The company uses advanced big-data analytics and weather forecasting to trade electricity in Europe, especially from wind, solar, and storage assets.

You will work on the application layer of the company, building and maintaining a balance of backend (Python) and frontend (TypeScript) solutions. The role involves creating APIs, developing platforms for data visualization, and collaborating on financial algorithms in the complex energy trading domain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop both backend and frontend features.
• Build APIs to expose data to internal users and the trading floor.
• Create frontend platforms for data visualization, statistics, and optimizations.
• Collaborate with the finance department on financial algorithms.
• Be involved in the full development lifecycle, including deployment via GitLab pipelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and, ideally modern framework (e.g., React, Vue, Next.js).
• Experience with Python scripting is a plus
• A desire to work across the full stack, as the work is balanced and can be frontend-heavy at times.

Nice additions:

• Experience with a cloud provider, especially AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Experience with Next.js.
• Knowledge of the trading or energy sector.

• No relocation package is offered. We are looking for people already based in the Netherlands and, ideally, in the Randstad region.
• Salary: €52.000 - €65.000 depending on experience
