Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our End User Compute (EUC) team for a major Dutch retail organization. In this role, you will drive innovation, automation, and efficiency across modern workplace technologies, transforming legacy workspaces into secure, cloud-managed environments.
Key Responsibilities
EUC Engineering & Modern Workspace
Manage, develop, and optimize Intune-based modern workspace solutions for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
Support the transition from legacy managed workspaces to cloud-managed environments.
Ensure secure, agile, and user-friendly workspace solutions.
Manage and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
Work in sprint-based agile teams within EUC.
Identify risks and improvement areas, and communicate proactively with the EUC Product Owner.
Collaborate with Cloud and DevOps teams to ensure alignment and synergy.
DevOps & Automation
Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
Develop PowerShell and shell scripts for workspace automation.
Streamline deployment of updates and applications for faster delivery.
Incident Management & Support
Provide support during high-priority incidents with minimal business impact.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Coordinate technical escalations with Microsoft when required.
Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain real-time dashboards to monitor EUC health and performance.
Drive continuous enhancement of systems and processes.
Promote proactive issue detection and operational governance.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Apple macOS.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune and MECM.
Experience with application packaging, deployment, and testing.
Management of Android and iOS devices in enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
Proficiency in PowerShell and shell scripting.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab CI/CD).
Solid understanding of Azure Cloud platforms, networking, and security.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills, fluent in Dutch.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Quick learner, adaptable to new technologies.
Collaborative team player with a DevOps mindset.
