We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to support scrum teams in a transformation journey from a legacy frontend application to a modern, modular frontend architecture running on embedded systems.

Location – Stockholm

Duration: 6 months + Extensions

In this role, you will work hands-on with both the existing GWT-based solution and a new TypeScript + React-based application, contributing to migration, modularization, and long-term maintainability. A key part of the work is building and maintaining a shared component library while gradually replacing legacy components.

Key Focus Areas

• Supporting and adapting the legacy GWT-based frontend
• Developing module-based frontend solutions using TypeScript
• Migrating components to a modern React-based architecture
• Building and maintaining a shared component library
• Bug fixing and continuous improvements
• Close collaboration with scrum teams in an embedded environment

Required Qualifications (Must-haves)

• Strong experience with Java, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience using NPM
• Strong communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset and experience working in agile teams

Bonus / Nice to Have

• Experience with React
• Frontend testing using Jest and/or Vite
• Experience working with embedded systems
• Prior exposure to GWT
• Experience with Git
• Component libraries using Storybook
• Experience contributing to or working with open-source software
