We are looking for an Embedded Systems Developer who wants to work with the development and further development of firmware for embedded systems, primarily based on PIC microcontrollers.

You will be part of an experienced team where software and hardware are developed in close collaboration. The role covers the entire development chain, from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing and troubleshooting in both lab and field environments. The work includes development in Embedded C, real-time functions for I/O, timers and interrupts, as well as work with communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I²C and RS-485. You will also participate in the design of new functions together with hardware developers, troubleshoot system-related problems and contribute with documentation and code review.

Qualifications:

• Experience in embedded development in C
• Practical experience with PIC microcontrollers
• Good understanding of real-time systems (bare-metal)
• Experience with hardware-based programming (GPIO, timers, interrupts)
• Experience with version control (Git)
• Ability to read data sheets and technical documentation
• Good knowledge of Swedish or English

Meritorious

• Experience from access control, alarm or security systems
• Knowledge in secure communication or cryptography
• Experience with other MCU platforms (e.g. ARM Cortex-M)
• Experience in production testing or long-life embedded products
