Role Overview

As a Business Development Executive at Infosys, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the Norwegian market by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing lasting relationships. Your mission will be to build and advance the sales funnel, align technology-enabled solutions with client needs, and drive revenue growth across strategic verticals. You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Partner teams, acting as the face of Infosys in client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify new clients, sectors, and emerging opportunities aligned with Norwegian industry trends.
  • Generate and qualify leads through targeted outreach—email, calls, networking events, conferences and digital channels.
  • Develop proposals, pitches, and solutions tailored to prospects’ needs, collaborating with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Delivery).
  • Lead the full sales cycle: from opportunity identification to negotiation and deal closure—ensuring favourable terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers to secure business and upsell existing accounts.
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments to stay ahead and inform strategy.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline and client data in CRM systems; report on KPIs and quarterly performance.
  • Represent Infosys at industry events, trade shows, and client forums within the region.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting—preferably within IT services, digital transformation, or technology solutions.
  • Proven track record in building pipelines, closing deals, and meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English; proficiency in Norwegian is an advantage.
  • Strategic thinker with strong market research and analytical capabilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and navigating complex decision-making processes.
  • Self-driven, proactive, with strong initiative and resilience.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office, and sales enablement platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Technology or an equivalent.
  • Experience selling consulting or digital transformation services in Norway.
  • Existing C-level network and professional relationships in the Oslo region or wider Nordic market.
  • Experience working in matrixed, multicultural organizations or international offshore delivery models.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (Cloud, AI/ML, Data Analytics), and how they can be leveraged in digital strategies.
  • Proficiency in Norwegian is beneficial.
