Principal Product Designers – Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪

Two hires | Strong growth | Portfolio-level impact

I’m currently hiring two Principal Product Designers for a tech organisation in Abu Dhabi that’s had a very strong few years of growth and is now entering its next phase.

The Head of Design currently leads a team of 10+ designers. As the business prepares to launch new products and significantly improve existing ones, they’re bringing in principal-level designers to help lead these initiatives and raise the bar across the portfolio.

This is a true Principal role - not just a title.

You’ll sit above individual squads, combining hands-on design with design leadership, strategic oversight, player-coaching, and quality ownership across multiple live and near-launch B2C products. You’ll be reviewing work, setting standards, identifying gaps, and ensuring design decisions scale consistently across the business.

The product portfolio is genuinely varied and interesting:

• A data-led product
• An education platform
• Several other consumer-facing B2C products

All products are used by real customers, and each comes with very different UX challenges that require thoughtful, contextual decision-making. The organisation also operates across a mix of government and non-government platforms, which adds further complexity and scope to the role.

We’re hiring for two distinct Principal roles

🎨 UI-Focused Product Design (Principal / Senior stepping up)

Focused on elevating creative and UI craft standards across the portfolio.

What they’re looking for:

• Very strong visual and UI craft - pixel-perfect execution matters
• Heavily hands-on role with ~25% leadership
• Someone who enjoys reviewing work, setting UI standards, and pushing quality
• Open to a strong Senior Product Designer ready to step up into a Principal role

🔄 End-to-End Product Design (Principal)

Embedded within a newer product portfolio, acting as the design lead for this area of the business.

What they’re looking for:

• Experience across multiple industries
• Proven track record designing products from 0 → 1
• Multiple product launches planned for 2026
• A balanced mix of hands-on design, strategic thinking, and leadership

What both roles have in common

• Strong B2C product design background
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in a proper product environment
• You’ll work very closely with Product Leads
• There’s an existing team of UI/UX designers — your role is to lead, challenge, align, and scale design quality across multiple products
