📍 Location: Bahrain, Dubai, or Riyadh (hybrid / partial remote)

We’re partnering with a leading intelligence-led strategy and communications firm to appoint a Head of Applied AI to establish and lead its applied AI capability.

This is a senior role at the intersection of strategy, product, and engineering, responsible for building enterprise-grade, production-ready AI systems that support research, insight generation, narrative development, and client delivery for governments and major institutions.

The Role

• Design and lead the applied AI architecture across internal platforms and external client solutions
• Own the enterprise AI stack, including LLM orchestration, workflow automation, and secure data backends
• Translate strategic, research, and communications requirements into scalable AI-enabled systems
• Lead development of internal AI tools for research, insight, content, and knowledge management
• Define AI governance standards (security, auditability, cost control, reliability)
• Work closely with senior leadership and client-facing teams to shape AI-enabled propositions
• Lead and manage a small, high-impact technical team

What We’re Looking For

• 5–7+ years of experience in applied AI, AI platforms, or AI-enabled systems
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions in production environments
• Strong understanding of large language models, APIs, orchestration patterns, and cloud architectures
• Experience leading technical delivery across multiple workstreams
• Commercial mindset with the ability to turn capability into scalable offerings
• Arabic is a plus, not required
