We’re working with a fast-growing UK SaaS business that is expanding its engineering team. They are looking to hire another Full Stack PHP Developer to support continued product growth and platform evolution.

This is a hands-on role covering the full development lifecycle - from backend PHP development through to building clean, intuitive user interfaces. The environment suits engineers who enjoy pragmatic problem-solving, writing clear and secure code, and working closely with product and design.

The team favours a low-framework, low-abstraction approach, so this role will particularly appeal to developers comfortable with well-structured, hand-written code rather than heavy frameworks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing and maintaining backend services in PHP
• Building features end-to-end across the stack
• Contributing to frontend development using JavaScript and React
• Working with HTML, CSS, and relational databases
• Collaborating within an agile engineering team
• Maintaining strong security, performance, and coding standards
• Contributing ideas around usability, structure, and code quality

Essential Experience

• Strong backend experience with PHP
• JavaScript and React
• HTML / CSS
• MySQL (experience with SQL Server or Postgres beneficial)
• Git version control
• Good understanding of secure development practices
• Clear communication and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to Have

• UX / UI awareness
• Experience with technical documentation
• Networking or server administration exposure
• A pragmatic, friendly, and informal working style
