Hi, I am Randy Epp, VP of Product at at Musora Media. We’re an online music education company building apps that musicians use every day to learn, practice, and level up.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Key Duties:
  • Contribute to end-to-end UX design activities, including user journeys, task analysis, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, and evaluative research.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ideate, explore feature solutions, and iterate on designs.
  • Translate user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into thoughtful, intuitive design solutions.
  • Design simple, clear, human-centric experiences that delight users and align with Musora’s brand.
  • Contribute to Musora’s design system by using established components, patterns, and guidelines, and proposing improvements when appropriate.
  • Participate in design critiques, user research sessions, and usability testing.
  • Stay current with UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices, and apply learnings to ongoing work.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure work aligns with company policies, accessibility standards, and legal requirements.
  • Deliver design work on agreed timelines, communicating early if scope or timing risks arise.
  • Support UX team workflows by keeping files, documentation, and shared libraries organized and up to date.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and users to continuously improve designs.
  • Collaborate effectively within the UX team and across departments.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Knowledge/Education/Experience
  • A design degree or certificate is a plus, but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, information architecture, or a related field (e.g., psychology, engineering, digital media, data analytics).
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX process, problem-solving, and visual design skills.
  • Experience working as an individual contributor on cross-functional product teams.
Skills, Abilities and Other Attributes
  • Strong working knowledge of the full UX process, with deeper expertise in one or more areas (Research, Analysis, Design, or Validation).
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma.
  • Working knowledge of modern design tools (e.g.,Adobe Design Suite, Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma).
  • Experience working within Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Solid visual design skills with an eye for clarity and consistency.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate constructively with teammates.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and workload.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, React Native, and basic development workflows is an asset.
  • A passion for design and music.

  • Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
