Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Visual Merchandising Graphic Designer to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the potential for permanent employment.This role is responsible for the creation, coordination, and execution of in-store design directives, including production and installation.
The successful candidate will ensure all visual merchandising materials uphold brand standards while supporting consistent communication between internal teams, stores and vendors.This position also provides support to the Visual Merchandising Department in areas such as budgeting, financial reporting, vendor coordination, and project tracking.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop creative concepts and renderings for window and in-store displays.
- Prepare and execute production-ready files for large-format print materials (i.e. pillar vinyl, lightboxes, foam core, etc.).
- Support window propping, file creation, and related production needs.
- Develop and manage a 6-12 month production plan to ensure timely execution of visual merchandising initiatives.
- Create and maintain communication documents and oversee installation from start to finish; conduct site visits as needed for quality control.
- Train Area Visual Managers on product and prop placement, ensuring alignment with brand and visual guidelines.
- Interpret and localize global in-store design directives for the Canadian market.
- Ensure all design communications are clear, accurate, and consistent with corporate standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align window displays, visual merchandising, store design, and marketing collateral.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Support financial processes, including vendor payments, monthly budget reconciliation, and reporting.
- Provide on-site or remote support during overnight installations as required.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Visual Merchandising, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a corporate visual merchandising or retail design environment.
- Experience in retail production design, window displays, or in-store visual execution preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator) and 3D software such as Dimension and SketchUp.
- Strong understanding of large-scale print production and digital file preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey design direction and strategy across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to retail locations and installation sites across Canada as required.
- French language proficiency considered an asset.

Annual Salary: $92,000 CAD.
The annual salary is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
