Job Description
This role requires a primarily backend developer to assist in the development of web socket servers which interact with Slack frontend clients. The developer should be well-versed in JavaScript/Node.js, with experience creating API routes and controllers, REST API integrations, containerization. The developer should also be well versed in working on larger Scrum dev teams, including the ability to deliver value across a sprint cycle, and write clear, maintainable code.

The developer should be well-versed in JavaScript/Node.js, with experience creating API routes and controllers, REST API integrations, containerization. The developer should also be well versed in working on larger Scrum dev teams, including the ability to deliver value across a sprint cycle, and write clear, maintainable code.
Technical Must Haves
- Experienced Node.js developer with practice using:
- Asynchronous logic
- Error Handling
- Typescript
- Experience with Containerization
- Be able to create, setup and run containerized apps for local and CI environments
- Expertise in git and source control best practices
- Practice in architecting and documenting technical solutions
- Practice writing Unit Tests and writing testable code
- Ability to communicate with the team and communicate blockers and issues
- Past work in a Scrum team, familiarity with sprint cycles, ACs, etc.
- Ability to review PRs and assist other developers
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins) development and configuration
- Experience or certification in AWS systems, including S3, EKS, RDS
- Experience working with WebSocket servers
- Experience deploying applications using Kubernetes/Helm
- Experience with Slack Specific Development Standards
