We have an urgent requirement for Windows OS Upgrade Engineer – ATM & CDM Rollout is required for one of our banking client in Oman
Microsoft has officially announced the End-of-Support (EOS) for Windows 10 version 2016 in October 2026. The Bank is undertaking a structured OS upgrade initiative to transition eligible devices to either Windows 10 version 2019 or Windows 10 version 21H2, based on the system’s hardware profile and PC core capabilities.
Strong experience on Windows OS upgrade across the Bank’s ATM and CDM network is MUST
Strong Experience On ATM/CDM Hardware Is MUST
Strong experience on banking domain is MUST
Objectives
The main objective is to onboard assigned resources to execute the rollout of the Windows OS upgrade across the Bank’s ATM and CDM network.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft has officially announced the End-of-Support (EOS) for Windows 10 version 2016 in October 2026. The Bank is undertaking a structured OS upgrade initiative to transition eligible devices to either Windows 10 version 2019 or Windows 10 version 21H2, based on the system’s hardware profile and PC core capabilities.
- Devices with older or limited CPU generations will be upgraded to Windows 10 2019.
- Devices meeting Microsoft’s enhanced compatibility criteria will migrate to Windows 10 21H2 for improved longevity and performance

Objectives
The main objective is to onboard assigned resources to execute the rollout of the Windows OS upgrade across the Bank’s ATM and CDM network.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct the rollout and upgrade of 600 ATMs and CDMs across Oman.
- Perform on-site upgrades where required, ensuring minimal disruption to banking services.
- Coordinate with the Bank’s IT and Operations teams for scheduling, access, and support.
- Ensure upgraded devices meet Microsoft compatibility and performance standards.
- Document all upgrade activities, including device status, issues, and resolution.
- Prior experience in Windows OS deployment and upgrades, preferably in banking or ATM/CDM environments.
- Ability to travel across Oman for on-site upgrades.
- Knowledge of ATM/CDM hardware, software, and security protocols is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills to coordinate with internal teams.
